What is the national math championship - The Matific Math Games?
The Matific Math Games is a friendly online math competition aimed at improving students confidence and math skills.
Why should my students participate in The Matific Games?
There are many reasons why your class and school should participate in The Matific Math Games. Not only is there $50,000 worth of cash and prizes up for grabs, but Matific is an award-winning resource that has proven to help improve students math test results by 34%.
What are the important competition dates?
Registration opens nationally on December 4, 2017
A one-week ‘warm up’ begins on February 14th and runs through February 20th, 2018
On February 21st, the scoreboard resets and the games begin! The Matific Math Games conclude on February 28th, 2018.
When is the cut-off date for registration?
The final date to register and provide school and class lists is February 20th, 2018.
Who can participate in the game?
Any elementary school with a minimum of 100 students or class with a minimum of 10 students can participate in the Matific Math Games.
How do I participate?
How are the winners calculated?
Prizes are split into three categories: schools, classes and students. School and class prizes are calculated on the average number of stars collected per student. For example: If a school has 5760 stars and they have 120 students their school score will be 48.00. If a class has 960 stars and 15 students their class score will be 64.00. Student prizes will be calculated on the total number of stars collected.
Do iPads and Tablets work with the Matific Games?
Yes. There will be lots of schools competing using these devices. You just need to make sure that you have the most updated version of the app installed. Visit Google Store and App Store to download the latest version.
